Sorry, We Can’t Get To Your Account Right Now Error In Office 365 Apps
Windows 10 users report seeing this error when trying to sign in to their Microsoft accounts, not to be confused with local user accounts. This makes it nearly impossible to use many Microsoft apps such as the critical Office suite or planners like Calendar.

yeah my first thought was one drive also. (Option A) I didn't mention: this is a clean install. I was manually building a SOE for a new staff. No apps with a marker, no windows notifications, nothing in process explorer about the dialog. (Option B) I had to temporarily sign into a microsoft account when activating the OEM Office 2016 that was on it. I wonder if then "signing out" of this account in MS-Office caused something to break and freak-out next boot. (Option C) I'm actually hoping that this is just a new error message to essentially say "you are using a temp %USERPROFILE%".

I recently ran into an issue when trying to open documents in Microsoft Office apps in Windows. My Office apps are licensed via a Microsoft 365 license and the documents I wanted to open were stored in OneDrive for Business. However, when I tried to open the document in the desktop app, I received an error: Sorry, another account from your organization is already signed in on this computer. I was able to fix the issue, but it did take a few minutes of troubleshooting to figure it out. Read below how to easily get this error removed. I also created a video showing the solution that's embedded at the end!
The error code 0x80004005 could be associated with a single user where launching every Microsoft 365 app results in an error. You must check that the user is assigned a license for Microsoft 365 Apps. There should be an active Microsoft 365 subscription plan to use any of the office apps.
On Windows 10 after an upgrade, installation of a new monthly update, or antivirus setup, you may receive the "We can't sign in to your account" or "You've been signed in with a temporary profile" error message as soon as you sign in to your account. When this happens, then the system signed you in using a temporary account, instead of your original account, and any changes you make in this session will be discarded as soon as you sign out.
The first method to fix the "We can't sign in to your account," or the "You've been signed in with a temporary profile" error message involves restarting your computer several times (around three or four times).
Alternatively, when nothing seems to resolve the issue, and you're still getting the "We can't sign in to your account," and the "You've been signed in with a temporary profile" error messages, you can resolve the problem creating a new local account and then transfer all your files to the new account.
