Skylanders SWAP Force __FULL__
The story begins with Master Eon introducing the player to the world of Skylands as well as its protectors, the Skylanders. The veteran Portal Master then reveals the backstory of a special group of Skylanders known as the SWAP Force, who protected the Cloudbreak Islands and its magical volcano that regenerates the magic in all of Skylands every one hundred years. During an epic battle against a swarm of Fire Vipers summoned by a dark figure, the SWAP Force were caught in the eruption of the magic volcano, which granted them the ability to swap halves, but in the process banished them to Earth.

Glumshanks returns to Kaos who is disappointed in his failure, before he is greeted by his mother Kaossandra, who mocks him for his incompetence. After hearing a tip, the Skylanders attempt to find the Terrasquid and make their way toward the town of Motleyville hoping to find Sharpfin. When they arrive they instead find a servant of Kaos named Baron Von Shellshock, who evilizes Tessa's bird Whiskers and forces him to attack them. After dealing with Shellshock and turning Whiskers back to normal, Sharpfin promises to help the Skylanders find the Terrasquid and send his crew to fix Flynn's ship. They arrive at the location of the Terrasquid, but have to deal with one of Kaos's most deadly monsters, the Fire Viper. After they defeat the Fire Viper, Kaossandra shows up and decides to help her son.
Flynn, Sharpfin, and Tessa take the Skylanders into the volcano and as Kaos tells Glumshanks to finish the pile of petrified darkness, it all comes falling down on top of him, transforming him into Super Evil Kaos, a giant Evilized version of himself. The Skylanders begin to battle him and after destroying the crystals on and in his body, revert him back to normal. They escape the volcano and Kaos and Glumshanks discover they have been swapped. The volcano then erupts, replenishing the magic in Skylands as everyone returns to celebrate.
This idea was known as Skylanders: ShapeShifters with the main gimmick having Skylanders take on different forms, even forms that resemble their allies.[7] During the development stage of the game's gimmick, the part swapping mechanics were also tested on various types of characters, including dragons and quadrupeds.[8]
For years, Wash Buckler, Blast Zone, Free Ranger, Freeze Blade, Night Shift, Magna Charge, Stink Bomb, Rattle Shake, Hoot Loop, Trap Shadow, Grilla Drilla, Spy Rise, Rubble Rouser, Doom Stone, Boom Jet and Fire Kraken - the SWAP Force protected the volcano that replenishes Skylands' magic. That is until an epic battle caught them in the eruption, blasted them apart, sent them to Earth, and gave them the ability to swap powers. Now they must mix and match their tops and bottoms to save the Elementals from being evilised, stop Kaos, and save Skylands.
Every 100 years, four ancient creatures known as the Elementals, The Flashfin, the Terrasquid, the Frost Hound, and the Tree Spirit come together to replenish the magic in Skylands via a volcano known as Mount Cloudbreak. During the last eruption ceremony, something tragic happened. Kaos' Mother Kaossandra aimed to destroy the volcano, but a team of Skylanders defended it. After that, the volcano erupted, sending these Skylanders to Earth. The volcano's eruption gave these Skylanders the ability to swap their tops and bottoms, transforming them into the SWAP Force.

The gameplay for SWAP Force is based on the two previous games, Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders: Giants. Players use a portal to bring real-life figures into the video game. For the new game, Skylanders are able to jump, and there are new swappable Skylanders. The new game also brings a new Portal of Power (and therefore is only sold as a starter pack). The new Portal was added because of the new technology that makes the SWAP Force characters work correctly. The older portals from the past two games would not be able to sense the top half of these new swappable characters. These sixteen new characters have top and bottom halves that can be separated from each other and recombined with the halves from other characters. This allows for a total of 256 combinations between all tops and bottoms. Another new feature of the swappable characters is that each has one of eight distinct ways of moving. These different movement types are necessary to enter certain side areas in the game called "SWAP Zone Challenges". Only characters with the correct bottom half can enter said areas. There are eight: Rocket, Spin, Dig, Stealth, Teleportation, Bounce, Speed and Climb.
During an epic battle, a brave group of Skylanders were caught in the eruption of a mystical volcano in the Cloudbreak Islands. The result blasted them apart and sent them to Earth. But the magic of the volcano gave these heroes a remarkable new power -- the ability to swap halves -- turning them into a special team known as the SWAP Force.
Skylanders Swap Force introduced yet another cool new figure type to the game - swappable characters. With magnets holding the top and bottom together, these figures can be split apart and any top and bottom half recombined, to form hundreds of new characters. Here's the complete list of all 75 Swap Force Skylanders (inc. dark, legendary and other variants) - and below it, we've even included a list of all characters from other Skylanders games that are also compatible with Swap Force, so you can be sure your Skylander will work with your game!
As well as being able to use all of the Skylanders from the original two games, Skylanders: Swap Force introduces 32 brand new characters to play as. This new lineup is made up of 16 Swap Force Skylanders which break apart into two pieces that can be mixed-and-matched between them all and 16 new regular "core" Skylanders that won't have the swapping feature.
The new Swappable characters can do more than just swap, each of them has a movement ability associated with their lower half, this ability can unlock the special Swap Zones that you'll find in each level.
These abilities are exclusive to the swappable Swap Force characters and have not been retroactively given to existing characters. Just like there are two new characters for each element there are two characters for each ability (you can still manage to get one of each element and have one of each movement type if you choose them carefully).
'Template Template' is an unused playable "SWAP Force" character in the game, and served as the starting file for all characters that made use of the swapping functionality, thus Template being the name of both his upper and lower halves. Unlike Debug in Giants, Template Template is fully formed, appearing as a green bodied humanoid with large eyes, a purple shirt, jeans, black shoes, and a tail. He has no textures, and thus appears with mostly solid colors. The Wii version renders tints using a different system, thus due to not being fixed he is colored white all over. He makes use of several placeholder items, including a specific temp portrait and strings for his upgrade paths. In addition to all this, he is fully animated; when you check the upgrade screen he will scratch his behind, pressing A will do a short hop that has him slam forward with both fists, B will do a spin attack, and X has him push his hands outward to sissy-slap enemies. Unfortunately he can't actually *hit* anything, making his attacks useless. He has 5 missions and has all emotion animations except sadness.
I always preferred the 3DS versions of these games to the console versions. But since the Swap Force added jumping to the console versions. Alot of what made the 3DS versions better is now gone. I liked the old school Playstation 1 3D platforming style which is what made the 3DS Skylanders so much more fun then those jump pads the consoles had, with those gone, this loses a little bit. Though it is nice that you can keep the skylanders permanently without needing the figures. In case you ever want to sell the figures but keep the game. That's cool I guess.
The Skylanders SwapForce Starter Pack (which is available for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, WiiU, and 3DS) includes the Skylanders game disc, the "Portal of Power" (a glowing platform with an NFC reader inside), one standard Skylander figurine, two swappable Swap Force figurines, three trading cards, three character sticker sheets, and one poster detailing the dozens of collectible figures in the Skylanders universe.
There are dozens of different Skylander characters, and in this game, they get the added twist of the Swap Force. According to Skylander lore, the Swap Force were Skylanders that protected the magical volcano, but they were blown apart in an eruption. This being a game filled with magic, they were able to not only piece themselves back together, they also gained the ability to combine with other Swap Force characters to mix and match attributes and powers. Each Swap Force figurine has two parts, a top and bottom, and these can be separated and recombined with any of 15 other Skylanders Swap Force characters for 256 potential combinations. Place your remixed figurine on the Portal of Power and you now have a new character that blends the elements of the two parts. If you already have a collection of Skylanders figurines--released with the two previous Skylanders games--they will still work with the Portal of Power and the Swap Force game, though you won't have the swapping ability offered by newer two-piece figurines. 041b061a72
