Sri Vijayendra Tirtha lived in the 17th century CE and was a disciple of Sri Sudhindra Tirtha, who was the guru of Sri Raghavendra Swami, one of the most revered saints of Dvaita Vedanta.

I salute and worship Lord Narasimha, who resides in the supreme abode, who holds a conch, a discus, a bow, an axe, a sword, a trident, a noose, a goad and other weapons in his hands, who wears a thunderbolt-like armor, a plough, a mace, a club and other ornaments on his body, who has fierce teeth and fiery hair, who has three eyes and a radiant complexion like fire, who is adorned with a garland and bracelets. May he protect me.

May Lord Narasimha protect me, who has two feet that support the earth, who has two arms that grant wealth and prosperity, who holds a conch, a discus, a bow, an axe, a sword, a trident, a noose and a goad in his hands. If you have any mercy on me, please hold me with your hands and reside in my heart. Please be pleased with me, O Lord, and grant me your supreme abode.
